Comments
Leave a comment on any line, then hand the comments to an agent.
Comments are how you tell an agent what to change. Each comment is attached to one line, so the agent knows exactly where you meant.
Leaving a comment
Hover over a line in the diff or in a file, and click the button that appears in the gutter beside its line number. Write what should change, then save.
Write a comment the way you would write to a colleague. Say what is wrong and, if you know it, what you want instead:
This swallows the error. Let it reach the caller so the request fails. You can leave comments on uncommitted work, on a branch, on a single commit, or on a file you are only browsing.
Handing comments to an agent
Once a page has comments, a bar appears near the bottom of the window. It shows how many comments there are, and where they will go.

- Click the count to see all the comments as a list, and jump to any of them.
- Choose who gets them: a new chat with Claude Code or Codex, or a session that is already running. Sessions on the same branch are listed first.
- If it is a new chat, pick the model.
- Click Assign.
The agent receives every comment with its file and line. As it fixes each one, it resolves it, and the comment leaves the review. Its changes appear as a new diff, so you read them before anything is committed.
To get the bar out of the way, fold it down into a small count at the edge of the page.
Using another agent
If you run your agent outside Reviewer, it can still pick up your comments. See Resolving comments with any agent.
