Reviewing changes
Choose what to compare, then read the diff the way that suits the change.
Choosing what to compare
The comparison picker sits in the sidebar, across from the branch picker. It has two kinds of comparison:
- Uncommitted changes: your working tree against the last commit, including files git doesn't track yet.
- Against a branch: everything your branch has changed since it left another branch, plus anything uncommitted.
Reviewer remembers the comparison you chose for each branch, so you only pick it once.
To read a single commit instead, pick it in History in the bottom pane. See Branches and commits.
Reading the diff
While you review, the sidebar lists only the changed files, marked with their git status. Type in the search above them to narrow the list. Click a file to jump to it in the diff.
Side by side or stacked
Lay the diff out side by side, or with the old lines above the new ones. The toggle is at the end of the bar above the diff, and Toggle Diff Style in the command palette does the same.

Side by side is easier for small edits to existing lines. Stacked is easier for long new code, because each line gets the full width.
Reading a whole file
A diff only shows the lines around each change. To read the rest, click Full file above any file in the diff, or click the file anywhere else to open it on its own page.
Browsing the project
Click Code in the tabs and choose the browse view to see the project's whole file tree. Files open in tabs along the top of the page. Right-click a file in the tree to see its history, copy its path, reveal it in Finder, rename it or delete it.
You can comment on a file you are browsing, too. See Comments.
