Getting started
Open your first repository and find your way around the window.

If you haven't installed the app yet, start with Installation.
Opening a repository
The first time you open Reviewer, it shows the opener: every git repository on your Mac, found by searching your home folder. Recent ones are at the top, and folders holding several repositories get their own entry in the sidebar.
Double-click a repository, or select it and press Return, to open it. To get back to the opener later, press ⌘O or click the project name at the top of the sidebar.
If a repository is missing, click the folder button in the opener's toolbar to add it, or rescan to search your home folder again.
The window
The window has four parts:
- The sidebar on the left. It holds the branch picker, the comparison picker, and the files: the whole project while you browse, or only the changed files while you review.
- The page in the middle. This is the diff, a file, or an agent session.
- The tabs in the toolbar. Code and Sessions are always there, followed by one tab for each agent session you have open.
- The bottom pane, under the page. It holds Branches, History, Terminal and Run. Press ⌘B to show or hide it.
Press ⌃⌘S to hide the sidebar when you want the whole width for the diff.
The command palette
Press ⌘K to open the command palette. Everything the app can do is in it: switching branches, fetching and pushing, opening the bottom pane's surfaces, or starting a new session.
Two searches are also one keystroke away:
- Press ⇧⌘O, or Shift twice, to find a file by name.
- Press ⇧⌘F to search the text of every file.
In the palette, Backspace on an empty search goes back up a level, and Escape closes it.
