Branches and commits

Switch branches, commit, push, and read the history.

Branches

The branch chip at the top of the sidebar shows your branch, with how many commits it is ahead of and behind its upstream. Press ⇧⌘B (or ⌥⌘4) to open the branch picker.

In the picker, Return checks out the selected branch. Press → or Tab to see everything else you can do with it. New branch… at the top creates one.

Fetch, pull and push are F, L and P.

Committing

While you review your uncommitted changes, the commit box sits under the changed files.

  1. Press space on a file to include it or leave it out. A includes all of them, or none.
  2. Press i to write the message, or ⌃G to have Reviewer write it from what changed.
  3. Press ⌃S (or ⌘Return) to commit. ⌥⌘K commits and pushes.

To throw away the changes to a file, press x on it in the sidebar. Reviewer asks first.

History

Press ⌥⌘5 to open History in the bottom pane: the log with its branch graph.
